The QC5100 installation
is a typical Windows-based, self-executing installation. The PowerSpec CE and QuickCheck CE with QC Configurator
programs are included in this installation. The install program sets
up the applications for the QC5100 handheld computer and also installs the ActiveSync® Manager that controls the transfer
of data between the
handheld computer and the host PC.
The steps for installing version 1.2.1.1 of the QC5100
software are listed below.
Download the QC5100 zip file by clicking on the button above.
Unzip the executable file using zip/unzip software.
Click on the Windows
Start menu and click Run.
Click on the Browse button and locate the .exe file you have downloaded.
Click the OK button
to install the QC5100 desktop components, which
will also register the QC5100 applications with the
ActiveSync® Manager.
Follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the installation. The installation places
all PC
components into the root directory of the handheld (typically C:\Program Files\Cummins\QC5100).
Perform an ActiveSync® operation to install the PowerSpec CE and QuickCheck CE applications
on the handheld.
