The QC Configurator installation
is a typical Windows-based, self-executing installation. Note that
you only need to install the QC Configurator program separately if
you are using QuickCheck II instead of QuickCheck III (QC Configurator
is already part of the QuickCheck III installation). The install program
sets up the application for the handheld organizer.
The steps for the QC Configurator
software installation are listed below. It is already assumed
that
you have previously installed the handheld Desktop software. If you have
not installed this
software, see the handheld handbook for instructions on installing the
Desktop software.
Download the QC Configurator
zip file by clicking on the button above.
Unzip the executable file using zip/unzip software.
Click on the Windows
Start menu and click Run.
Click on the Browse button and locate the file you have downloaded.
Click the OK button
to install the QC Configurator program.
Follow the onscreen
instructions to complete the installation. The installation places
all PC
components into the root directory of the handheld organizer
(typically C:\Palm or C:\Program Files\Palm).
However, QC Configurator components are placed in the \qc2 (or \qc3
if you have QuickCheck III) directory immediately below the Palm
root directory.
Perform a HotSync
operation to install the QC Configurator application on the handheld
organizer.
