Why won't my QC5100 Application Suite software install properly?
Verify that your computer and operating
system meet the minimum system requirements specified in the User's
Manuals available from the on-line manuals page . The Cummins QC5100 Application Suite software is not Mac-compatible.
Microsoft ActiveSync® and the QC5100 software must be installed on your computer before application software
can be installed on the QC5100 handheld computer. If they are not
installed on your computer, then insert the QC5100 CD-ROM into
your computer and wait for the Installer Menu Screen. Click Install and
follow the instructions onscreen.
What should I do if I have
Desktop synchronizing software other than Microsoft ActiveSync and my QC5100 Application Suite won't install?
Microsoft ActiveSync® software must be installed on your PC before you can download the QC5100 Application Suite to your QC5100 handheld computer. The latest version of
the ActiveSync® software can be downloaded without cost from the Microsoft
web site: www.microsoft.com.
Uninstall older versions of Cummins QC5100 Application Suite from the Add/Remove Programs option of the Control Panel on the desktop PC. Then reinstall the Cummins QC5100 Application Suite.
What should I do if my new application software
won't install properly on my QC5100 handheld computer?
First, uninstall and reinstall the QC5100 software on your PC, following the above instructions. Uninstall the older version of software from the QC5100 Handheld Computer by tapping Settings, Control Panel, and then Remove Programs, to remove the Cummins Inc. QC5100 application suite. Then ActiveSync® the device with the desktop PC to download the new software.
